Considering that early childhood cognitive development is characterized by symbolic and imaginative thinking, this period is regarded as a golden age for the introduction of early literacy skills. Method: This study employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews, and documentation of learning activities. Results and Discussion: The findings indicate that the singing-based approach enhances children’s ability to recognize numbers and letters in an enjoyable and meaningful way. Songs combined with body movements and visual media were found to improve memory, concentration, and active engagement in the learning process. Teachers implemented learning activities systematically, beginning with the selection of theme-appropriate songs and continuing through to the evaluation of children’s development. In addition to cognitive benefits, this approach also contributed positively to the development of children’s musicality and social-emotional skills. Conclusion: The singing-based approach represents an effective and appropriate alternative teaching method in early childhood education, particularly for introducing numbers and letters in a fun and meaningful manner.
Fajar Tri Nanda Rahayu, Sandie Gunara, Fensy Sella, Salieu Jammeh Copyright (c) 2025 Fajar Tri Nanda Rahayu, Sandie Gunara, Fensy Sella, Salieu Jammeh http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 http://musikolastika.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/musikolastika/article/view/271 Wed, 17 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Interpersonal Intelligence as a Predictor of Ensemble Music Learning Outcomes among Senior High School Students http://musikolastika.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/musikolastika/article/view/216
Objective: This study aims to analyze the influence of interpersonal intelligence on students’ learning outcomes in music education, particularly in ensemble learning, among Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 2 Sragen. Interpersonal intelligence is regarded as an essential ability in collaborative music learning, which requires cooperation, communication, and coordination among students. Method: This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The participants consisted of 36 Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 2 Sragen. Data were collected through an interpersonal intelligence questionnaire, observations of ensemble learning activities, supporting interviews, and documentation of students’ learning outcomes. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression to determine the extent of the influence of interpersonal intelligence on music learning outcomes. Results and Discussion: The results of the analysis revealed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant influence of interpersonal intelligence on ensemble music learning outcomes. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.589 shows that interpersonal intelligence contributed 58.9% to the variance in students’ music learning outcomes. These findings suggest that students with higher interpersonal intelligence tend to collaborate more effectively, communicate more efficiently, and adjust their roles within ensemble groups, resulting in more optimal musical performances. Conclusion: Interpersonal intelligence has a significant influence on music learning outcomes in ensemble-based learning. Therefore, the development of interpersonal intelligence should be emphasized in collaborative music learning strategies to enhance students’ learning outcomes and the quality of social interaction in music education.
Nino Sadewo, Nafik Salafiyah, Rasheed Adeyinka Uthman Copyright (c) 2025 Nino Sadewo, Nafik Salafiyah http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 http://musikolastika.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/musikolastika/article/view/216 Wed, 17 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Exploring Collaborative Music Practices in Shaping Social Interaction and Professional Development in Music Education http://musikolastika.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/musikolastika/article/view/244
Objective: This study aims to explore the role of musical collaboration in fostering social practices within music classrooms and to identify the factors that influence the success of such collaboration. Method: Employing a qualitative approach through interviews and observations, the research investigates how collaboration in music classes contributes to social dynamics among students.
